Breastfeeding in Public.

In 2024, the ongoing debate about breastfeeding in public is surprising. A recent study indicates that many women are concerned about how it is perceived publicly. The discomfort caused by the sight of a baby breastfeeding is perplexing—it is merely a form of nourishment.

Public bottle feeding is deemed acceptable, and families are free to choose formula feeding. Babies consuming pumped breast milk in public is also acceptable. Yet, direct breastfeeding by a mother in public often elicits strong reactions.

Breasts are biologically designed to feed offspring, a trait common to most mammals. The continued uproar over women breastfeeding for its intended purpose is bewildering.

Legally, babies are allowed to eat wherever their mothers are permitted to be. It's troubling that we live in a world where mothers need legal permission to feed their children.
