As the holidays approach and we are all traveling more this information is essential to know.


If you are getting ready to travel by air and are not sure how to handle the airline regulations and breast milk. The rules for air transportation allow you to carry more than 3.5 ounces of breast milk on you flight and you do not have to check your breastmilk. For all the specifics here is the official. word.


In summary, breast milk , formula, toddler drinks, and baby/toddler food (to include puree pouches) are considered medically necessary liquids. This also applies to breast milk and formula cooling accessories, such as ice packs, freezer packs, and gel packs (regardless of presence of breast milk). Your child or infant does not need to be present or traveling with you to bring breast milk, formula and/or related supplies.


You can request you milk NOT be put through the X-ray machines. You can request it not be removed from your field of vision.
